Penne
was sent off to Rotterdam on the 22nd of February, 2001. She has
gone to stay with Gerard and Angelique Peet and their two daughters
Juliette (7) and Suzanne (8).
Gerard is a member of Rotterdam City Council and Rotterdam (along
with Porto, Portugal) is this year's Cultural Capital of Europe.
Gerard has been collecting penguin paraphernalia for 20 years and
is in the process of putting together the Concise Rotterdam Penguin
Encyclopedia (this is only a working title at the moment). The book
will document all types of penguins from fact and fiction.
Penne has been promised five star accomodation and visits to the
opening of an exhibition in the Natural History Museum. Penne is
also looking forward to the opening of a new penguin enclosure at
the zoo - subject to availability, of course. |
